Privacy.

This site collects almost nothing. No cookies, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising. Below is the whole of it.

What this covers

This notice describes how Hare Quest LLC handles information in connection with the website at hare.quest. It does not cover work performed for clients under a services agreement. Information inside a client's own systems is handled under that client's agreement with Hare Quest, and the client, not Hare Quest, decides how their data is used, retained, and disclosed.

What the site does not do

The one thing stored in your browser

If you switch the site between light and dark, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the name hare-theme so the page looks the same next time. It is a single word. It stays on your device, is never transmitted to Hare Quest or anyone else, and clearing your browser storage removes it.

Server logs

Like nearly every web server, the server hosting this site records a line for each request: the IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page if the browser sends one, and the browser's user-agent string. These logs are used only to keep the site running and secure, are not combined with anything else, are not used to build a profile, and are deleted within thirty days.

If you email

Email sent to Hare Quest is kept as business correspondence, along with whatever you chose to put in it. It is used to answer you and to keep a record of the engagement. It is not added to a mailing list, and Hare Quest does not send marketing email.

Children

This site is aimed at organizations rather than individuals and is not directed to children. Hare Quest does not knowingly collect personal information from children through this site.

Your choices

Because the site holds nothing about you beyond a theme preference on your own device and a short-lived server log line, there is little to request or delete. If you have emailed and would like that correspondence removed, or you have a question about any of this, write and ask.

Changes

If this notice changes, the date below changes with it. There is no archive; the current version is the one that applies.
